Dorit Rabinovitch of doritartworksart.com was born and raised in Montreal, Canada.

She was doing portraits by age seven. After high school she attended art school in Montreal and refined her pencil work further. She spent 22 years in Israel mostly working in hotel lobbies as portrait artist to the guests. In 1989 she came to the USA and opened her studio in Dallas, Texas. She entertained as a portrait artist at parties and events all over the DFW area. She did a stint for a year entertaining at the Gaylord Texan. In 2019 Hotel ZaZa commissioned her to do 120+ pen and watercolor portraits of celebrities for their brand new hotel in Austin, Texas.
